Become a Person of Interest

In the law-enforcement community, a person of interest is a phrase used to describe someone who may be involved in an ongoing investigation or connected with a crime, but they haven’t been formally accused of a crime. This person has created buzz and interest because of their actions.

You can do the same thing also. Curiosity works both ways. It’s important to be a curious writer, but you can also make people curious about you; you can be a “person of interest” by doing interesting things.

A simple and effective way to become more interesting is to share what you are working on. Use social media, email, conversations, meetings, masterminds, groups, and any means you can think of to share what you are learning as you write and create.

Being interesting is not about doing completely original things (after all, there is no such thing as completely original). Simply by sharing what you are doing, how you are growing, and what you are learning, you will become massively interesting to the people around you.
