Why Does the Writer’s Path Matter? - Daily Writer | Essential Habits for Impact & Influence

Why Does the Writer’s Path Matter?

Today I want to explore the question, “Why does the Writer’s Path matter?” What’s the point of it, anyway? Why am I doing this series?

Here’s what I have observed: Lots of writers are frustrated because they are working hard but not seeing tangible results. You can be the most hard-working, talented writer in the world, but if you don’t have the proper systems and framework in place to help your business grow, you won’t see much success over the long haul.

As I look at successful writers I know, The Writer’s Path is the pathway the vast majority of them follow. This includes very successful writers such as Joanna Penn, Dan Miller, Michael Hyatt, Donald Miller, Ryan Holiday, Jeff Goins, Honoree Corder, and many, many others I respect and follow.

The 7 steps of The Writer’s Path are also the framework that gives you the best chance at success because your income is diversified. It grows your business in an organic way that doesn’t rely on gimmicks or working 100 hours a week for years and burning yourself out.

The Writer’s Path also gives you a clear, sequential process to follow. This might be the most important benefit of all because it’s so easy to get paralyzed by all the things you COULD be doing, instead of the straightforward, basic things you MUST be doing.

Tomorrow, we’ll continue our dive into the concept of The Writer’s Path.

Daily Question: Do you get frustrated as a writer because it feels like you should be doing 100 different things? What would it feel like to have a simple, organized pathway to follow to help you build a writing business?
